BEVERLY HILLS, CA– Doubletree Hotels has announced that Curtis Martin and Salem Shaheen have been named general managers of the Doubletree Club hotel in Largo, MD and the Doubletree Guest Suites hotel in Washington, D.C., respectively. A 14-year Doubletree veteran, Martin began his hospitality career in 1988 at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Raleigh/Durham, N.C., where he spent seven years in various leadership positions throughout the hotel. Since 1998, Martin has directed the operations of the Doubletree Guest Suites hotel in Nashville as general manager. Celebrating his 20th anniversary in the hotel business, Shaheen spent 12 years with Hyatt Hotels, serving as director of food and beverage at various hotels across the Northeast U.S. He began his career in the Washington D.C. area in 1994 as general manager of a hotel café in Beltsville, Md. and joined Doubletree in 1995 as director of food and beverage of the Doubletree hotel in Falls Church, VA. Shaheen most recently served as assistant general manager of the Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Rockville, MD.
