NATIONAL REPORT—Marriott Vacation Club International has unveiled its latest villa concepts at its Marriott Shadow Ridge property in Palm Desert, CA, and its Marriott Canyon Villas at Desert Ridge property in Phoenix. Seventy-three additional two-bedroom, two-bath villas opened at the Shadow Ridge property with the new layout that features the new deluxe lock-off concept with an open and flexible layout with two completely separate living rooms, balconies and a kitchen and kitchenette, allowing guests to divide villas into two separate accommodations. Each villa ranges from about 1,110 square feet to about 1,330 square feet and includes a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and custom cabinets; living and dining areas; luxurious bedding; multiple flat-panel televisions with DVD players; a private balcony; a washer and dryer; and Wi-Fi Internet access. MVCIs Canyon Villas offer approximately 1,260 square feet of living space as well as fully-equipped kitchens, spacious living and dining areas and multiple flat screen televisions. The resort expansion will also feature an expanded pool bar and grill as well as a new pool and courtyard area. Elements of the new villa layouts have also been implemented at three MVCI resorts that are under development in Florida. The Palm Desert property now has 497 villas and will be expanding up to 984. The Phoenix property now has 213 villas out of a possible 252.
