NEW YORK— Marriott International is looking at alternatives to using Arthur Andersen as its outside auditor, said Bill Marriott, chairman/CEO. Marriott, speaking at a press function said that “we have to evaluate our options,” in using Andersen. The hotel company had previously indicated it was going to stick with the accounting firm, which is being indicted for its participation in the Enron debacle. Starwood Hotels & Resorts last week said it was replacing Arthur Andersen with Ernst & Young as its outside auditor. — Ruthanne Terrero
