WASHINGTON, D.C.— Marriott International has been named for the fifth year in a row to Fortune magazine’s list of top 50 companies for minorities, appearing in the July 8 issue. Brendan Keegan, Marriott’s executive vp/human resources, said the company was proud of the progress it continues to make in expanding diversity. Keegan noted that Marriott was the only hospitality company recognized for five consecutive years and added that the company was sixth among companies with more than 100,000 employees. In addition to being named to Fortune’s list of best companies for minorities, Marriott has also been recognized this year as one of Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” and “Most Admired Companies in America,” according to Keegan.
