WASHINGTON, DC— Marriott International recently graduated the 3,000th participant in its welfare-to-work program. The graduate, Takeitsha Williams, was one of nine individuals who took part in a ceremony held at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel in Arlington, VA. Called Pathways to Independence, the six-week hospitality training program is administered by Marriott in its hotels with the assistance of government funding. The program includes 60 hours of classroom training and 120 hours of occupational skills training, and has been conducted for more than 10 years.
