LOS ANGELES— Marriott International said it is being sued by one of its clients, CTF Hotel Holdings, in a case that reflects the friction between hotel managers and owners, according to a Reuters report. Marriott reported it received a copy of the lawsuit, which is under seal, but would not comment on the allegations it contained. A report in the Wall Street Journal said the suit by CTF, a unit of Hong Kong-based New World Development Co. Ltd., alleges violation of laws dealing with racketeering, commercial bribery and price fixing. The papers were filed in U.S. District Court in Delaware. The suit also names Marriotts Renaissance Hotel Operating Co. unit and Avendra LLC, a procurement arm that was spun off as a separate company. A spokeswoman for the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, which is representing CTF, had no immediate comment on the matter, said the report.
