LONDON— Marriott International has opened its first hotel in the former Soviet republic of Georgia. The 127-room Tbilisi Marriott Hotel, which is owned by JSC Hotel Tbilisi, occupies the shell of the former Hotel Tbilisi. Elsewhere, the company has brought its European portfolio of Courtyard by Marriott hotels to 30 with the opening of its second such property in France, the 300-room Courtyard by Marriott Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
