Marriott Announces Four Hotel Openings

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Marriott International announced the opening of four new hotels in the U.S.— a 159-suite SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Dallas; an 87-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Sarasota, FL; a 99-room Courtyard by Marriott in Tampa, FL; and a 203-room Courtyard by Marriott in Farmington Hills, MI. The 159-suite SpringHill Suites, located 15 miles from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and 15 minutes from downtown Dallas, will be owned and managed by Marriott International. It is set to open this month. The new Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, which opened January 21, is owned and managed by Kinsman Hotel Associates of Sarasota, FL. Located seven miles from Sarasota-Bradenton Airport the property offers guests convenient access to Keiser College, Mote Aquarium, Ringling Museum and St. Armands Circle. This property features a variety of enhancements including a signature “king suite,” which offers separate living and sleeping areas, pantry with coffee maker, mini-refrigerator and microwave, and a dividing wall with a 32-inch recessed television and state-of-the-art compact disc stereo system. The new Courtyard Tampa – Oldsmar will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Menna Development and Management, Inc. of Clearwater, FL. Situated 12 miles from Tampa International Airport and 10 miles from Busch Gardens, the property offers guests convenient access to Tampa Bay Downs, Florida Aquarium, Adventure Island and Canal Park. The four-story hotel also offers two meeting rooms with 1,050 square feet of meeting space to accommodate small meetings and functions of up to 250 people. The Courtyard Detroit – Farmington Hills, scheduled to open this month, is owned and managed by Trans Inn Management of Farmington Hills, MI. Situated 25 miles from Detroit Metropolitan Airport and 20 minutes from downtown Detroit, the Courtyard offers convenient access to the Novi Expo Center, Cobo Hall and the Silverdome. The three-story hotel also offers three meeting rooms with 4,058 square feet of meeting space to accommodate small meetings and functions of up to 300 people.
