CHICAGO—Hotel industry veteran Wes Tiner has joined Marcus & Millichap’s National Hospitality Group (NHG) in the firm’s Nashville office, according to Gregory A. LaBerge, the NHG’s national director. Tiner brings more than 20 years of industry experience to Marcus & Millichap, and was most recently a VP with Centennial Commercial Real Estate Company (formerly Grubb & Ellis). Joining Tiner in the Nashville office is Paul Blackburn, another commercial real estate veteran with seven years of experience.
“Adding Wes and Paul to our already industry-leading team of national hospitality specialists in a key market like Nashville further solidifies our strategic focus to provide our clients maximum value in solving their investment objectives,” LaBerge said in a statement.
Tiner and Blackburn will focus on the sale of hospitality investment properties on behalf of institutional and private investors, predominantly throughout the South Central states.
“Marcus & Millichap has really changed the paradigm in the hotel brokerage space,” Tiner stated. “Their platform is truly unlike any other in creating value for hotel owners, and Paul and I are excited at the prospect of helping our clients leverage this platform.”
Tiner has held numerous and diverse senior-level positions throughout his hotel career. He worked 13 years at Hilton Hotels as senior director – Capital Asset Management Group before moving to Wyndham Worldwide as corporate VP – Capital Investments, and finally serving as SVP – Project Development & Technical Services for the Americas for Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG).
