NEW YORK— Barry Mann, formerly vp/general manager for the New Yorker Ramada Inn & Plaza, has left the employ of the hotel to join Bernstein Real Estate here as director of the firm’s hotel division. According to sources at the mega Midtown property, no replacement has as yet been named for Mann, who spent nearly a decade with the 1,000-room hotel. Armed with more than 30 years of lodging industry experience, Mann will now be heading up the broadening and expansion of Bernstein’s hotel-brokerage business, with his responsibilities including direct brokerage as well as supervision of the firm’s hotel and hotel-related undertakings. In his new post, Mann will report to Bernstein Real Estate Executive VP Vincent Terranova.—Michael Billig
