SAN DIEGO – The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego recently announced five additions to its sales staff as it nears the end of an expansion program that will reportedly make it the largest hotel in southern California. Ed Kady was named associate director of sales at the 1,625-room hotel. Kady is responsible for the western United States, focusing on citywide conventions. Prior to joining the Hyatt, he was area director of sales at Tarsadia Hotels. Braedan Quigley was appointed primary market sales manager responsible for state associations including social, fraternal, educational, military and religious groups. Additionally, Quigley is working with all groups related to professional sports. Quigley was previously a major market sales manager at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in Santa Ana Pueblo, NM. Tracey Brouillette was named senior sales manager/associations serving non-national associations based on the East Coast. She joins the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego from across town at the Hyatt Regency Islandia where she focused on association and corporate accounts in the Southeast. C.J. Manuel was appointed sales manager/meeting connections. Manuel is calling on smaller groups, 10 to 150 rooms, targeting the eastern half of the United States. Manuel comes to San Diego from the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, where she was a meeting connections manager. Terese Prevost was named sales manager/corporate meetings. Prevost is responsible for corporate accounts, focusing on the Midwest and Northeast. She was previously a sales manager at the Hyatt Regency Orange County, where she was responsible for corporate accounts, focusing on the West Coast. Adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center, the bayfront Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is in the final stage of an expansion. Slated for completion by August, the expansion will give the hotel 125,000 square feet of meeting space, including a new 30,000-square-foot ballroom on the same level and adjacent to the property’s original 25,000-square-foot ballroom. There will also be a new 34,000-square-foot exhibit hall and a new 25,000-square-foot rooftop pool deck overlooking San Diego Bay.
