STATEN ISLAND, NY— A multi-million dollar program at the Staten lsland Hotel has refurbished the lobby, meeting and banquet rooms and added a new bistro and bar at the 187-room property. Named for hotel GM Stanley Friedman, the new Stanleys Restaurant- An American Bistro is under the direction of a new executive chef and Staten Island native, Sean Doyle. The restaurant has a new menu, showcasing dishes from Florida, California, the Southwest and New York City. The restaurants new décor offers dark mahogany walls, which is reflected in the bar and tables, and accented by a marble buffet and red banquettes. The Staten Island Hotel is operated by the Seaway Group, a multinational hospitality organization that owns and manages hotels and properties in Florida and New York.
