UPPER MARLBORO, MD Machinists gathering in San
Francisco for their 35th quadrennial Convention will march today to the San Francisco Marriott Hotel in support of fellow
AFL-CIO members of the Hotel and Restaurant Employees Union.
Union workers at the Marriott Hotel are struggling to negotiate a new contract with employers.
The Machinists march will begin in front of the San Francisco Hilton at and end at the Marriott Hotel. A rally in front of the hotel will follow. (9/14/00)
