CHICAGO—Preferred Hotel Group has promoted Lindsey Ueberroth to CEO. She will continue to serve in her role as president.
“Lindsey’s contributions over the past 10 years have enabled Preferred Hotel Group to achieve a position as the world’s leading partner for independent hotels and resorts,” stated John Ueberroth, who will continue to serve as chairman of Preferred Hotel Group. “I am confident in her ability to continue to drive great achievements for our company while delivering exceptional results for our partners.”
Lindsey Ueberroth, 38, joined Preferred Hotel Group in 2004 and has served in several roles, including president from 2010 to the present.
“After 10 years of continuous growth, the company is in a prime position to facilitate global growth, drive greater financial success, and solidify our position as the champion of the independent hotel world,” stated Lindsey Ueberroth.
Over the past 40 months, Preferred Hotel Group helped its global portfolio of member hotels emerge from the worldwide economic downturn by doubling total year-end reservations revenue and generating a 25% increase in Average Daily Rate (ADR). Lindsey launched the company’s new points-based iPrefer loyalty program that provided new ways for independent hotels to compete with the hard flag brands.
Under her leadership, the company executed the introduction of the Sterling Design and Summit Serviced Residences brands, marked first-time presence in more than 20 new countries, and formed partnerships with renowned independent hotels, ranging from Wynn Las Vegas and The Alpina Gstaad to The Mark Hotel and EAST Beijing. Shortly after joining Preferred Hotel Group, Lindsey spearheaded the development of the Preferred Boutique brand.
