NEW YORK—Lightstone has broken ground on a 348-room hotel development in NoMad, which is one of four Moxy hotels it is developing in New York City in partnership with Marriott. The development is projected to be completed in 2017.
Located at 105 West 28th St., the 34-story Moxy NoMad will include a ground and second floor restaurant, bar, lounge, cafe, collaborative workspaces and a fitness center. The hotel will also offer a rooftop bar and lounge with views of the city and the Empire State Building.
Lightstone has four Moxy hotels under development in New York City totaling approximately 1,500 rooms. This includes the brand’s 618-room flagship U.S. property already under construction in Times Square and opening in the spring of 2017. Lightstone is developing seven Moxy properties across the U.S., with one in South Beach, Miami, two in downtown Los Angeles and one in West Hollywood, CA.
