VANCOUVER, B.C.— Miramar Management, the wholly owned management division of Leisure Canada Inc., a developer of hotel resorts in Cuba, has been given the right to manage the Monte Barreto Hotel in Havana. It intends to use its own brand, Mirus Resorts & Hotels, to flag this property, subject to an agreed-upon management contract with the companys Cuban partners. The goal, according to the company, is to build both Havanas premier hotel and the reputation of the Mirus Resorts & Hotels brand, so that it is synonymous with luxury, elegance and four-star-plus hotel products, as defined by AAA international standards.
