AMSTERDAM, HOLLAND— The Leading Hotels of the World has signed a letter of intent with the Hotelschool The Hague to form a joint-venture organization to be known as The Leading Hotel Schools of the World. According to Paul McManus, Leading Hotels of the World president/CEO, and Wim Dooge, president and on the board of directors for Hotelschool The Hague, The Leading Hotel Schools of the World will be a for-profit organization designed to provide advanced and comprehensive education to the hospitality industry. The curriculum will reportedly be targeted to both students seeking a career in hospitality as well as experienced industry managers opting to continue their education. When The Leading Hotel Schools of the World is launched (expected to take place during the second quarter of this year), the organization will ostensibly offer a variety of services, including: program development for hotel schools around the world; training programs for hotel school lecturers; and private-label training-program development as well as continuing education for hotels and hotel companies. Three on-line training modules are slated to debut at The Leading Hotels of the World Annual Convention next month.
