LONDON— The new general manager of Le Méridien Kuwait, Hannes Yaghi, has also been appointed country manager to oversee the luxury hotel groups expansion there. Yaghis responsibilities in Kuwait will be to spearhead Le Méridiens development with the Aamal Holdings group, which involves six new projects over a period of three years, including almost 450 hotel rooms and a conference center. Initially, Yaghi will take control at the former Ritz hotel, which will be renamed as Le Méridien Kuwait and is scheduled for a refurbishment. Once complete, a new tower will be added as well as a purpose-built conference center.
