LONDON– Le Méridien Hotel Group has named former Lodgian exec Karyn Marasco regional managing director for the Americas & Caribbean, according to COO Richard Mahoney. Since 1997, Marasco served as evp/COO of Atlanta-based Lodgian, Inc., the publicly traded owner of over 100, multi-brand hotels in the United States. She now will supervise operations of Le Méridien’s owned and managed hotels in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America, and will be based at the company’s New York regional office. Previously, she spent 18 years in various managerial and senior level operations positions with Westin Hotels & Resorts, most recently as area general manager for six hotels in the Midwest. Other positions with Westin included posts in New York, Boston, San Francisco and Pittsburgh.
