DOTHAN, AL— Apple Hospitality has awarded the management contracts on eight Hilton-branded hotels to LBA Properties, Inc., based here. The move follows Apples acquisition of the hotels from PHD Hotels, which was formerly known as The Hotel Group. The eight new properties brings LBAs management portfolio to 40 hotels, all located in the Southeast U.S. Seven of the eight, which include the Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and Hampton Inn brands, are open and located in Alabama and Mississippi. The eighth, a Hilton Garden Inn in Macon, GA, is scheduled to open in 2007.
