SEATTLE, WA— Lavery Hotels & Resort Ltd. (LHR) is getting ready to open a new sales office in Hong Kong, PRC, representing the 12th such facility the company has opened worldwide. Current offices include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Dallas, New York and London. Peter Stewart, newly appointed senior partner/CEO of LHR, attributed the companys expansion into Hong Kong to the high demand of travel from Asia Pacific to North America. The Hong Kong office, scheduled to open Apr. 1, was unveiled ahead of the companys planned expansion into Europe. Stewart said the project— mounted in partnership with Lee-Sun Investment & Development— will find three senior sales managers employed at the new office site to cater to the mid- to high-end group and business meeting planners and travel managers. In the next 18 months, LHR expects to open an additional 12 sale offices worldwide. Following this extensive roll-out, Stewart indicated a name change for the company would be forthcoming as a means to “reflect the international presence and flavor of LHR’s sales services.”
