LAS VEGAS Las Vegas visitor volume increased by 6% during 2000 to 35.8 million visitors, according to statistics released by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). This follows a 10.5% increase in visitor volume in 1999 for the destination. Average citywide hotel occupancy in Las Vegas rose slightly from 88% in 1999 to 89.1% in 2000. Room inventory topped off at 124,270 in 2000, a 3% increase over the previous year. (2/14/01)
