Recent openings in the U.S. include the largest Element hotel in the world, a landmark transformed into a hotel near Seattle and a SpringHill Suites property in Louisiana.
Element Philadelphia
Marriott’s Element Hotels by Westin brand has opened its largest property globally and first in the City of Brotherly Love, Element Philadelphia. The hotel, developed by Chestlen Development, has 460 guestrooms with fully equipped kitchens, a Sky Lobby, a business center, Motion Fitness center and guest laundry services.
F&B options include the complimentary Rise breakfast, the Relax evening reception in the Sky Lobby and the Restore gourmet pantry, which features products from local producers. The hotel also participates in the Bikes to Borrow program with its custom-designed Priority Bicycles in Element green and features Element’s pet-friendly program, which includes a signature dog bed, treats, water bowls and eco-friendly clean-up supplies.
The property will soon provide access to more than 45,000 sq. ft. of purpose-built event space.
The Lodge at St. Edward State Park
A national landmark transformed into a new 84-guestroom hotel outside of Seattle, The Lodge at St. Edward State Park is now open for hotel, dining and spa service. The property is operated by Seattle-based Columbia Hospitality and was preserved, restored and renovated by Daniels Real Estate.
Amenities include F&B outlets Cedar + Elm restaurant, Father Mulligan’s Heritage Bar and The Tonsorium Bar, Vita Nova Spa, more than 9,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces, the “Stories of St. Edward” self-guided tour and complimentary mountain bike rentals.
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Slidell
Springhill Suites Slidell has opened in Slidell, LA. The 88 room all-suite hotel, operates as a Marriott franchise developed and managed by QHotels.
The property is situated inside Fremaux Towne Centre near John C. Stennis Space Center, the Naval Research Laboratory, Department of Defense, General Dynamics, Ochsner Hospital and CDIT.
