Greif Joins Langham Hospitality Group
The Langham, London has named Doris Greif as managing director of the luxury hotel in central London, as well as regional VP of operations, Europe & Middle East, for Langham Hospitality Group. Greif succeeds Bob van den Oord who was promoted to COO based at the corporate office in Hong Kong.
Greif has more than 19 years of experience in leadership roles for Jumeirah; her last role for the group was as SVP operations – MEASA, based in Dubai. Career achievements include the rebranding of Jumeirah Beach Club Resort & Spa; repositioning Jumeirah Emirates Towers as the top corporate hotel in the UAE and Middle East; and having opened Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi.
Ram Named McKibbon VP of Acquisitions
McKibbon Hospitality has appointed Matthew Ram as its VP of acquisitions. He will be responsible for leading the family-owned and operated company’s move into the acquisition space, managing deal sourcing; underwriting and investment analysis; acquisitions; dispositions; asset management; transaction support; and investor relations.
Prior to joining McKibbon, Ram most recently served as investment manager for Liberty Group, a Tampa, FL-based commercial real estate investment, development and management company,, where he oversaw real estate investment activity, conducting investment analysis, financial planning and more. Over the course of his career, Ram has held financial analyst positions with companies including J.J. Haines and Co., Wells Fargo and John Hopkins Hospital’s Department of Radiology.
Schmid Joins Mag Mile Capital
John Schmid has joined Mag Mile Capital as SVP of originations and will be based out of the firm’s new Denver office.
In his new role with Mag Mile, Schmid will help to expand the firm’s Denver presence as well as originate diversified CRE debt instruments across the capital stack of stabilized, transitional and development assets throughout the U.S. He will also help to originate Freddie Mac SBL apartment loans, multifamily agency loans, conduit (CMBS), bridge financing, mezzanine facilities and preferred equity transactions for the firm’s client base across service sectors.
Schmid brings more than 10 years of experience in loan originations to his new role with Mag Mile Capital. He previously served as a SVP and full-service originator for Basis Investment Group, a multistrategy commercial real estate investment banking firm based in Denver.
JC Hospitality Taps Brown as VP of Marketing
JC Hospitality LLC, owner of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, has added Chad Brown as VP of marketing. He brings more than 20 years of hospitality marketing experience to Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
In his new role, Brown will be responsible for developing and driving marketing strategy for JC Hospitality LLC and will lead the integrated marketing team for Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Brown began his hospitality career at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino in 2005, where he served as the hotel’s marketing manager. Since then, Brown has held a variety of marketing executive positions within MGM Resorts International at Luxor Hotel & Casino, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and Bellagio Resort & Casino. Most recently, he oversaw new marketing and technology initiatives as the VP of marketing operations for MGM Resorts International.
