TRENTON, NJ— It’s official. The Lafayette Yard Marriott Conference Hotel here is ready to formally open its doors for business this Friday when New Jersey Governor James McGreevey joins Marriott International Chairman J.W. Marriott Jr. for a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the site. Also scheduled to be on hand for the inaugural occasion are officials representing Acquest– New Jersey LLC, a subsidiary of Acquest Realty Advisors and developers of the seven-story, 197-room full-service hotel and conference center. The $50-million development— which includes a 657-space parking structure— physically connects to the historically restored Trenton War Memorial, an 1,800-seat performing arts facility.
