LA Regal Biltmore Guaranteed Against Blackouts

LOS ANGELES The Regal Biltmore here, a member of Millennium Hotels & Resorts, has been assured by city officials that any potential rolling blackouts will not affect operations at the hotel in any way. The hotel is said to be completely protected against power outages because of its contract with the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (DWP).

DWP officials confirmed the Biltmore s secure position. The rolling blackouts from power shortages will not be felt by our customers since the DWP operates its own control area and has adequate generation resources to meet the needs of its customers, said Eric Tharp, assistant director of government, leisure and public affairs at DWP.
