LOS ANGELES, CA The Grafton on Sunset, a new boutique hotel here, will open BALBOA, restaurant and bar space, with a new concept from the team behind Sushi Roku. Lee Maen, Craig Katz, Michael Cardenas and Philip Cummins, who have launched three successful “Roku” restaurants, have conceptualized a contemporary steak & lobster joint that embraces the traditional Hollywood mainstays while appealing to the next generation. BALBOA, set to open in April 2001, is situated next door to the Skybar and Mondrian hotel, House of Blues, and across the street from The Comedy Store. (2/13/01)
