L.A. Hotel Prices, Occupancy Up

LOS ANGELES The most recent figures available on the hotel industry in Los Angeles County show modest year-over-year growth in both nightly hotel room prices and guest occupancy in November, according to PKF Consulting. Average nightly room prices rose by nearly $6, or 5%, to $122.84, while average monthly occupancy increased six percentage points to roughly 74%. November s figures left year-to-date average room prices at $122.51, or 7% higher than a year ago, and occupancy rates near 78%, an increase of 4%. (1/25/01) SOURCE:Los Angeles Times
