LOS ANGELES—Kor Hotel Group, based here, will open Loden Vancouver in Vancouver, BC next week. The 77-room property will be the companys first hotel in Canada. As part of Kor Hotel Groups strategy to expand its portfolio of urban hotels, the 14-story building designed by Vancouver-based architectural firm Hewitt & Kwasnicky, features an exterior of curved glass, natural stone and copper to mimic the ocean waves of the British Columbia coastline. The hotel will feature a signature restaurant, a day spa and fitness studio, and a 1,600-square-foot penthouse suite. The interior design of Loden Vancouver is being done by San Francisco-based Babey Moulton Jue & Booth and will include bold patterns and high-end finishes. Each guestroom will be appointed with 42-inch flat screen televisions, wired and wireless Internet access and four-fixture bathrooms.
