CAMBRIDGE, MA— The CambridgeSide Hotel, set to open March 2003, was topped off on March 1, marking a major advancement in its construction process. The project, which will also contain its own destination restaurant, will be managed by the Kimpton Group of San Francisco. The 236-room luxury hotel is being developed by Atlanta-based Hardin Capital at the cost of $61 million. It will be owned Cambridge Hotel LLC, a Connecticut-based commercial real estate investment management company. The project, which is being built next to the 7,000-square-foot CambridgeSide Galleria in East Cambridge, was designed by Arrowstreet Inc., which is based in Somerville, MA. The hotel’s guestrooms will overlook the Lechmere Canal, the Charles River and the Esplanade.
