NEW YORK Kempinski Hotels & Resorts, a Geneva-based luxury hotel and resort operator, has been looking to raise its brand recognition in North America, and has been actively seeking a partner in the region since last fall. HOTEL BUSINESS. has learned that the company is closer to forming a relationship. According to an inside source, it may join with Canadian-based Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.

When contacted Kempinski would not confirm or deny a partnership with Fairmont.
