CHICAGO— The new Four Points by Sheraton Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile is slated to open next month. The 226-room hotel is owned and operated by Marcus Hotels & Resorts. Located at 630 N. Rush St. in Chicago’s shopping and tourist district, the new Four Points has a contemporary style and features artwork by Dale Chihuly in the lobby and a warm, rich color palette of deep reds, ivory and gold in the public areas and guestrooms. In-room amenities include the Four Points by Sheraton Four Comfort beds, refrigerators and microwaves, coffeemakers, irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, cable television, movies on demand and Nintendo video games. Many guestrooms and suites will offer whirlpools, wet bars and balconies. Four Points by Sheraton Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile also has a fitness center, a sunroom-enclosed swimming pool with an adjoining whirlpool and outdoor patio, a business center and a sundry shop. Complimentary high-speed Internet access, both wired and wireless, is available. The hotel will offer valet parking upon opening and will have an onsite parking facility available for self-parking in late 2005. Three food and beverage outlets will also open within the hotel in early 2006. Patrick Hansen has been named general manager of the Four Points by Sheraton Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile, and Carol Lobaito has been appointed to the position of director of sales. Hansen was formerly general manager at the Hilton Garden Inn Houston Northwest. Lobaito was national sales director in Chicago for Baymont Inn & Suites/Woodfield Suites prior to her appointment.
