SAN FRANCISCO—Jerdon Style has acquired Telegraph Hill Robes, a luxury bathrobe supplier to exclusive hotels, resorts and spas for more than 15 years. The agreement was finalized May 5.
“The deal was sparked by the company’s founders, who are seeking to take the company to the next level. Jerdon Style is a specialty bath and beauty company. We are looking to stay focused in that segment of the market with higher-end products that serve that particular need. [Telegraph] couldn’t be a better fit for us,” said Bruce Grieve, president and CEO, Jerdon Style.
Telegraph mainly sells to the hospitality industry and maintains a retail presence via its website. With the acquisition, there are plans to take the company worldwide and across sectors. “Aside from leveraging our global network in hospitality, starting this Wednesday at the HD Expo, we will be making these products available to our account base on the hospitality side as well as the retail side. It is a perfect product for the consumer market,” Grieve said.
Founded by a husband and wife team in the 1980s, Maria and Bob Spurlock saw a niche in the luxury spa, hotel and resort markets. With a background in fabrics, the duo sourced and designed robes, kimonos and other wearables. The founders will continue on through a transition period.
