LONDON— John Jarvis, the founder of Jarvis Hotels, has stepped down from his role as chief executive but will remain as the companys executive chairman. Jarvis is replaced by Richard Thomason, formerly executive director responsible for hotel operations and one of the companys founding directors, effective immediately. Thomason played a key role in the re-branding of the companys U.K. hotels to Ramada. Paying tribute to his successor, Jarvis said Thomason was the ideal man to manage the next phase of the companys development; namely, the ongoing positioning of Jarvis Hotels in hospitality management.
