JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FL— The 72-unit Quality Suites Oceanfront, located in the heart of downtown Jacksonville Beach and right on the ocean, is hosting a grand opening on Thursday, Nov. 21. The grand opening will features and Hawaiian-style Luau, Polynesian Show, fire dancer, site tours and prizes. The ribbon cutting is at 6 p.m. The Quality Suites Oceanfront, which cost $7.2 million and took two years to build, features 72 oceanfront two-room suites with king or two queen-size beds and private balconies. Each suite has two remote-control 27-inch cable TVs with expanded cable and HBO, microwave, refrigerator, dry bar, telephone with data port and high-speed Internet access, coffee maker, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Eleven suites have an in-room whirlpool tub. Hotel features include an outdoor heated pool and spa; fitness center; business center with computer with high-speed Internet access, printer, photocopier and fax machine; gift shop; guest laundry and valet cleaning service. The hotel has 1,600 square feet of meeting/banquet space, consisting of two meeting rooms that can accommodate from 10 to 70 people. Rates begin at $159 for the fall/winter season and at $179 for the spring/summer season. Whirlpool rooms are usually $20 more.
