BIRMINGHAM, AL— Jackson Hospitality Services (JHS) here is offering a new management program designed to focus solely on sales, marketing and accounting. Recognizing hoteliers today are increasingly cost-conscious, JHS VP Neal Jackson explained how the firm’s new marketing-only option works. As he pointed out: “Usually the franchisor will provide hints and tips on how to increase profits; it will [now]be our responsibility to follow through and complete these objectives.” Jackson added: “Internet positioning, rate comparison [and]local marketing would be our focus. This is a hard time for hotels; we want to offer them options they can afford [and, as such, this] option is almost 50% lower than our regular fees.” Another service JHS offers is accounting, developed to include accounts payable, monthly financials, and daily revenue tracking. JHS will also install and monitor accounting policies and procedures “to help owners protect their investment,” Jackson said.
