MIAMI BEACH— Island Outpost has added two properties to its resort portfolio, for a total of 11 small properties: Cuckoos Nest, located in Provo, UT, and Kamalame Cay, located in the Bahamas. According to the founder and head of Island Outpost, Chris Blackwell, these two acquisitions continue the companys expansion into the luxury market and further define its brand. Cuckoos Nest is a five-bedroom villa in an exclusive private community in Provo, and was originally designed and built in 1991 by Blackwell, who is also the founder of island records and Palm Pictures. It was most recently the home of French actress Natalie Delon. The property is now a three-level mountain home that can accommodate two to 12 guests. Kamalame Cay is a private, all-inclusive resort that offers 11 units. It is located on a private island just off of Andros in the Bahamas.
