MIAMI BEACH, FL— Island Outpost has appointed a new management team at its flagship The Tides, located here. David Moth has been brought in as general manager, while Frank Holtslag was named executive assistant general manager for The Tides. Also, William Bouvier has been brought on as director of revenue management for Island Outpost. Moth joins The Tides as from Malmaison in Glasgow, Scotland, where he served as general manager. His past experience also includes positions as F&B director for the Cuisinart Resort & Spa in Anguilla, British West Indies, general manager of Nisbet Plantation Beach Club in Nevis, West Indies, resident manager of Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands, general manager of the Roof Gardens in Kensington, London and as assistant general manager of Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands. He earned a diploma in hotel management from the Ryde College of Catering in Sydney, Australia. Holtslag joins The Tides after having served the past two years as the director of revenue for Island Outpost. His past experience includes numerous operational positions with The Miami Beach Ocean Resort, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, The Phoenician, as well as operational and F&B experience in Amsterdam. Holtslag earned a degree in hotel management at Hanze College in Zwolle, The Netherlands. Finally, Bouvier joins Island Outpost from The Cliffs Resort, located in Shell Beach, California, where he last served as director of sales/marketing and assistant general manage. His past experience includes positions with Marriott, Meristar, Wyndham, The Santa Barbara Inn, The Hotel Hershey and Stouffer Hotels & Resorts. Island Outpost is a collection of 11 distinct hotels, located in South Beach Miami, Jamaica, the Bahamas and Utah.
