VANCOUVER The Globe and Mail and Intrawest Corp. formed a three-year cross-marketing agreement beginning in December. The agreement allows the two companies to promote their brands and products to each others customer base. As part of the agreement, The Globe and Mail will become the exclusive National Newspaper of Intrawests Canadian resorts. Also as part of the agreement, The Globe and Mail will become an associate partner of the Telus Guest Communications Centre at Whistler/Blackcomb, British Columbia, which already features a variety of services from electronic news and information feeds to free email access. At its Canadian resorts, Intrawest will provide to guests daily papers in the companys managed lodging facilities along with various other resort locations. (12/5/00)
