HENDERSONVILLE, TN— Reliable industry sources indicate that following the deal in which Intown Suites acquired Suburban Lodges of America, Intown appears to have divested itself of its franchised groups. The new Suburban franchise group will be headed by Kevin Lewis, the former president of Guesthouse. Sholodge, meanwhile, reportedly has bought the 74-property GuestHouse International portfolio which is said to have been divested by InTown Suites Management almost immediately following its acquisition of Suburban Lodges of America, a merge approved by Suburban shareholders April 29. — Jerry Merkin
