SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO—International Hospitality Enterprises (IHE) recently made staffing changes at two of their esteemed luxury properties. Militza Orama, formerly the director of dales and marketing at La Concha Resort, has been appointed in the same position at the recently renovated Condado Vanderbilt Hotel in San Juan. Replacing Orama at La Concha is Hermes Croatto, who was previously the associate director of sales at the hotel. Additionally, La Concha also welcomes Alain Tiphaine as the hotel’s new general manager.
“Militza, Hermes, and Alain each possess an extensive understanding of the Caribbean hospitality industry,” said José M. Suárez, president of IHE. “We are confident that their outstanding leadership skills will bring continued success to La Concha and Condado Vanderbilt as they take on these new roles.”
As general manager of La Concha Resort, Tiphaine is responsible for all hotel operations, including the management and recruitment of employees, marketing and promotion, and the budget. He will also be tasked with interacting directly with guests, visitors and the surrounding community to ensure that all hotel procedures are efficient and exceeding expectations.
In her new role at Condado Vanderbilt, Orama is responsible for creating and overseeing the hotel’s annual business and marketing plans, coordinating sales activities throughout the resort, working to maximize hotel revenue and expanding corporate accounts, and developing marketing and sales campaigns.
After successfully serving as an associate sales director at La Concha Resort since 2011, Croatto will oversee initiatives in both the leisure and corporate markets, and develop and execute all sales activities throughout the hotel.
