ATLANTA— In response to the growing demand for wireless Internet access, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is testing a new pilot program in two of its North American properties. Already in progress at the InterContinental Chicago and soon to come at the InterContinental Houston, the initiative offers members of its loyalty programs one free hour of service each day throughout their stay. Access is available in public spaces such as the lobby, restaurant and bar areas. Guests will be able to access the Internet through their WiFi-compliant network interface cards in their laptops and in order to utilize the wireless technology, guests can purchase access at the front desk. Tech support will be available.
