NEW ORLEANS— The latest e-Port wireless solution from USA Technologies Inc. that targets hotel guests is being demonstrated by InfoGenesis, a leading provider of hospitality information technology, at the HITEC 2003 hositality exhibition being held here this week. The solution features embedded computing and networking technology that connects to a hotels system network and allows hotel guests to use their intelligent room key cards to make purchases from hotel vending machines. The solution is a spin-off of the e-Port ID system, and can identify guests by their room key, control access to secure areas in the hotel, as well as bill purchases to the guest portfolio through the InfoGenesis property management system software. USA Technologies is also demonstrating BEXPrint, its latest Business Express office center offering, at HITECH. BEXPrint links hotel guests laptop computers to the Business Express office center, allowing guests to print from their rooms at their convenience.
