LONDON— InterContinental Hotels Group on Thursday said it was selling $1.9 billion in British hotels, mostly Holiday Inns, to a Lehman Brothers-led consortium, according to reports. InterContinental said its selling 73 hotels to the group led by a Lehman Brothers division. Of the hotels, 68 are Holiday Inns, four are Crowne Plazas and one is an Express by Holiday Inn and had been put up for sale in September, according to a MarketWatch report. IHG will continue to manage the hotels under a 20-year deal. InterContinental shares rose 2.2 percent in London.
