LONDON—InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened the Hotel Indigo Kaohsiung Central Park, marking the debut of the boutique hotel brand in Taiwan. As the sixth property of the Hotel Indigo brand in Greater China, the new 129-room hotel is also the first international branded hotel in the southern city of Kaohsiung. IHG has also signed contracts for two new Hotel Indigo projects in Taipei and Alishan as the brand expands its footprint in Taiwan.
Situated in Dazhi Business District, adjacent to historic and cultural landmarks including the National Palace Museum, the Hotel Indigo Taipei North will have149 guestrooms and 24-hour dining options. With 84 guestrooms, Hotel Indigo Alishan will be located in the Alishan National Scenic Area.
IHG has a portfolio of six brands in Greater China, including InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, HUALUXE Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts and Holiday Inn Express, with 277 opened hotels and 238 in the development pipeline by the end of the third quarter of 2016.
