Hyatt Taps Smith, Weyman For Executive Posts

CHICAGO— The Hyatt organization has made two high-level executive appointments. Susan Smith has been named senior vp and general counsel of Global Hyatt Corp. and Amy Weyman has been promoted to vp of marketing for Hyatt Hotels Corp. Smith will oversee all worldwide internal legal matters, services provided by outside counsel and corporate governance activities for the Global Hyatt companies. Prior to appointment, Smith served as vp, general counsel and secretary for First Health Group Corp., a NASDAQ listed company headquartered in Downers Grove, IL. In other experience, she was a partner at Pryor, Carney & Johnson, PC, a Denver law firm. In her new role, Weyman will oversee all marketing activities for Hyatt’s 122 hotels and resorts in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. A 14-year Hyatt veteran, Weyman was most recently vp of Hyatt Gold Passport and Marketing Systems for Hyatt Hotels Corp.
