Hyatt Taps Ellin For Field Operations Post

CHICAGO— Marc Ellin has been named senior vp of field operations for Hyatt Hotels Corp.’s Southwest region. A 17-year Hyatt veteran, Ellin will report to Chuck Floyd, executive vp of operations at Hyatt. In his new role, Ellin will be responsible for the operation and oversight of 20 hotels and resorts located in the southwestern U.S. In addition, he will be a member of Hyatt Hotels Corp.’s managing committee. Ellin is one of six regional senior vps of field operations in the U.S. Ellin will be taking over from John Orr, who is retiring after a 33-year career with Hyatt. He will be based in Hyatt’s southwest regional office at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch where he most recently served as vp and managing director.
