CHICAGO—The Hyatt Regency Amsterdam has opened in Amsterdam, marking the brand’s debut in The Netherlands’ capital city. It is the third Hyatt-branded hotel in The Netherlands, joining luxury lifestyle hotel Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht and select-service hotel Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport.
Located in the center of Amsterdam, bordering the East district and right at the heart of Plantage Amsterdam, the hotel is accessible to Metro trains and tram lines, as well as local attractions such as Rijksmuseum, Dam Square and Canal Ring.
There are 211 guestrooms, including 15 suites, ranging in size from 322 sq. ft. for a standard room to 1,356 sq. ft. for the Spinoza Suite. Inspired by the greenery of the hotel’s surroundings, the city’s botanical garden and ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo, each guestroom is decorated with floral and botanical artwork. Accommodations also include flexible furnishings, a workspace, large windows, and a bathroom with a walk-in rain shower.
Mama Makan is the on-site restaurant and bar, providing a fusion of traditional Dutch café fare and Indonesian specialties. A 24-hour café-style market offers beverages and bakery items. Other amenities include a 24-hour fully equipped fitness center and sauna.
