CHICAGO— Gary Dollens has been promoted to vp of operations for Hyatt Hotels Corp. Prior to his promotion, Dollens was vp and managing director for the Grand Hyatt New York in midtown Manhattan and also supported divisional vp, Jerry Lewin, in overseeing Hyatt’s Eastern properties. In his new role, Dollens will oversee all food and beverage, rooms and engineering operations for Hyatt’s 122 hotels and resorts in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. He will report to Chuck Floyd, Hyatt’s executive vp, operations. Dollens began his career in 1977 at the Hyatt Regency Oak Brook (IL). In 1988 he was promoted to hotel manager of the Hyatt Regency Atlanta and subsequently served as general manager of the Hyatt Regency St. Louis, the Grand Hyatt New York and the Hyatt Regency Washington.
