OAKBROOK, IL— The Hyatt Lodge at McDonalds Campus will now be a public facility operated by Hyatt, announced Hyatts Divisional VP Steve Sokal. The Hyatt Lodge at McDonalds Campus is a prairie-style facility in a resort-like setting situated within 88 acres featuring lakes, streams and wooded trails. The property is located near Oak Brook Shopping Center, which offers a variety of upscale stores including Marshall Fields, Nordstroms, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. The hotel has 47,000 square feet of meeting space with the latest in computer graphics, audiovisual and projection technology, according to Sokal. Meeting rooms have views of the surrounding forests, and electronically controlled window screens to block out unwanted light. Featuring 218 guestrooms, four deluxe suites and three custom-designed suites, most rooms also have balconies overlooking the surroundings. Guestrooms also include voicemail and computer hook-ups, individual climate control, full bath amenities, irons and hairdryers, as well as coffeemakers. The property also has a full-service fitness facility with a variety of exercise equipment including Life Fitness treadmills, stairmasters, Lifecycles, Precor ellipitical crosstrainers, Bodytrec and variable resistance strength equipment. Additionally, there is a 70-foot lap pool, three whirlpools, sauna and steam room. A professional massage therapist is available by appointment, and personal trainers are on hand to provide guests with customized workout programs. The Hyatt Lodge at McDonalds Campus also offers step aerobic, water aerobic and sculpting classes. Guests can choose from two restaurants including Piazza, an Italian Café, and the Waters Edge Restaurant offering deli items, a salad bar and a grill. Guests may also enjoy cocktails in the Hearth Lounge, which has a fireplace and lake view.
